The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) has welcomed 8,955 students for the new academic year, spanning 18 academic programs across three divisions: Science & Technology, Liberal Arts, and Management Science.
Fall 2024 has seen over 900 students join the foundation level, marking a 43% increase in new enrollments compared to the previous year. Additionally, more than 1,000 students have been admitted into specialized programs. Notably, a new cohort has enrolled in the Associate Diploma of Customs Management program, developed in collaboration with the General Authority of Customs.
Commenting on this milestone, Ali Al-Buainain, Vice President for Student Affairs, extended a warm welcome to both returning and newly admitted students, expressing his best wishes for their success in both academic and professional pursuits.
He emphasized that the continued growth in enrollment highlights CCQ’s sustained progress and development since its inception. By offering distinctive academic opportunities and expanding its educational pathways, CCQ has enhanced its role as a leading institution for higher education in the State of Qatar. CCQ takes pride in having awarded more than 7,000 academic degrees, including associate diplomas and bachelor’s degrees, to over 5,300 graduates. It has also facilitated the academic progression of over 3,260 students, many of whom continue their studies at other educational institutions, most notably Qatar University.
Al-Buainain further highlighted CCQ’s future plans, noting that new programs are set to launch in the coming years in alignment with CCQ’s 2023-2030 strategic plan. The plan outlines 22 initiatives across 5 strategic goals; all aimed at addressing the professional and academic needs of students, while supporting their contributions to the development of their respective workplaces. Furthermore, CCQ remains committed to enhancing educational quality and ensuring its programs align with the evolving needs of Qatar’s job market.
