The Counseling and Special Needs is always pleased to assist our students with special needs to ensure their fair and appropriate access to the College's programs and services. If you encounter any academic or procedural challenges, do not hesitate to contact us to seek help.​

Our Main Functions and Services
  • Communicating directly with students with special needs to know the condition of each of them and make the appropriate accommodations.
  • Establishing communication between the Student Affairs Division and other academic divisions and departments related to the needs of this group.
  • Holding the necessary meetings with students with special needs and the academic divisions to introduce them to the services provided to them and to learn about their requirements.
  • Working on include students with special needs in all the programs available to them (training, activities, special days and events dedicated to them).
  • Holding workshops to familiarize the faculty members with the needs of this group and facilitate the fulfillment of their academic and social requirements.
  • Opening a file for each student (case follow-up) at the academic level to rectify any deficiencies that occur during their academic journey in the College.
  • Communicating and dealing with students who have exceptional social conditions to reduce the difficulties they face.​

How to Request the Service
Students can benefit from the services of the Advising and Counseling Department in one of the following ways:
  • Requesting the service when submitting the application to join the College
  • Filling in the Supportive Services Electronic Form, and the student will be contacted by the Department’s employees
  • Meeting a specialist in the Advising and Counseling Department
  • Being referred by an admissions specialist to study the case (during the period of completing the application)
  • Being referred by an academic advisor to study the case
  • Being referred by a faculty member to study the case

​​Procedures for Special Needs Support Services
The employees in the Advising and Counseling Department shall review requests and cases by following these steps:
  • Examining the documents to determine the student's eligibility for academic accommodations/facilities based on the type of disability demonstrated in the documents.
  • The special needs specialist shall make an appointment for the student to determine the most appropriate services and accommodations.
  • The specialist shall discuss the relevant policies and procedures with the student, who shall be given a letter explaining the nature of services or accommodations that they will receive due to their disability.
  • The student shall fill out a data form and sign a permit that allows the Advising and Counseling Department to share information about their disability with CCQ’s employees (deans, faculty members and academic advisors) who will take part in providing the required services and accommodations/facilities to the student.
  • The specialist shall communicate with the faculty at the beginning of each semester and shall provide them with the student's letter, which proves the disability they suffer from, and the proposed academic accommodations/facilities for them.
