The Student Activities and Alumni Relations Department​ provides current students and alumni with diverse opportunities for engagement through sports, cultural events, student clubs, workshops, and training programs. Through a variety of on-campus events and initiatives, students are encouraged to participate in intellectual, recreational, and sports activities—such as padel, basketball, football, and much more—with the aim of fostering personal development, promoting well-being, and enriching their overall college experience.

In parallel, the college offers a wide range of alumni engagement opportunities, including networking events, mentorship programs, career development workshops, and partnerships with industry leaders. The​se initiatives are designed to support continuous learning, professional growth, and lasting connections with fellow alumni and the broader CCQ community.

Student Clubs

Student clubs vary in their names and fields to suit students’ interests and inclinations. They play an important and active role in developing students’ skills and enhancing their leadership and social abilities. Through these clubs, members have the opportunity to meet new peers, form friendships, and build professional relationships. In addition, they serve as a motivator to participate in diverse and innovative activities that allow students to pursue their hobbies and interests outside the academic curriculum. They also contribute to fostering a spirit of teamwork and mutual collaboration to create an inspiring educational and developmental environment.

The Information Technology Club aims to enhance students’ IT skills through a variety of workshops and activities that develop their technical capabilities, familiarize them with the latest in technology, and help them build professional networks. 

Objectives:

  • Encourage innovation, creativity, and problem-solving in IT. 
  • Facilitate career development opportunities.

The Community Service and Volunteering Club aims to guide students in implementing a variety of volunteer initiatives that serve both the college and local communities. By fostering a culture of giving, belonging, and social responsibility, the club encourages active participation in meaningful service endeavors. 

Objectives: 
  • Raise awareness of the importance of volunteer work through seminars and workshops that positively impact students and the wider community. 
  • Organize field visits to local community venues so students can assess needs and contribute to fulfilling them. 
  • Carry out service projects that benefit the environment and surrounding communities. 
  • Utilize students’ time and energy in extracurricular activities to instill the spirit of volunteering and help reduce negative behaviors on campus. 
  • Strengthen partnerships with community institutions to secure the necessary support and resources for the club’s initiatives.

The Poetry and Rhymes Club aims to refine students’ abilities in writing and reciting poetry, focusing particularly on Nabati poetry rooted in Qatari heritage. Poetry is seen as a powerful tool for promoting and developing positive values, as it carries noble themes that reinforce high moral standards. 

Objectives: 
  • ​Encourage and hone poetic talents through the exchange of experiences among poets and the cultivation of creative competition. 
  • Collect and celebrate local folk traditions and introduce them to wider audiences.

A student club dedicated to theatrical and scriptwriting talents, organizing workshops and live performances. 

Objectives: 
  • Form amateur student theater troupes to promote theatrical activities on campus. 
  • Encourage directing and playwriting in all its forms. 
  • Stage theatrical performances that address significant issues and align with Islamic teachings, cultural norms, and local traditions. 
  • Nurture students’ talents and foster healthy competition among peers. ​
  • Participate in chanting festivals with a student performance group. 
  • Provide training and host seminars on theatrical acting techniques and related topics.

A space for students passionate about Arabic to connect and refine their language use, drawing inspiration from classical Arabic, the Quran, Hadith, and Arabic poetry and literature. 

Objectives: 
  • Speak in standard Arabic during formal occasions, free from exaggeration. 
  • Enrich students’ Arabic using vocabulary drawn from the Quran and classical literature. 
  • Promote the culture of speaking standard Arabic at official events. 
  • Eliminate the use of colloquial Arabic in written academic communication. 
  • Offer training sessions in speaking standard Arabic.

An extracurricular space within the college that brings together students interested in environmental and astronomical topics. The club promotes awareness of the importance of conserving and protecting the environment, emphasizing sustainability. It also seeks to develop students’ capacities and talents in astronomy by exploring various celestial phenomena and staying updated on new developments in the field. 

Objectives: 
  • Involve students in learning about environmental issues and available solutions. 
  • Cultivate an interest in environmental causes and foster a strong commitment to protection efforts. 
  • Encourage positive behavior change in how people interact with the environment. 
  • Equip students with sound environmental practices through education and hands-on application. 
  • Celebrate significant environmental events. 
  • Motivate students to follow the latest developments and phenomena in astronomy.

This club fosters inspiration and cultivates a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among students. It aims to develop entrepreneurial thinking and encourage creative problem-solving by supporting students in transforming their innovative ideas into successful, economically and socially impactful, and sustainable projects, which will ultimately be generating new job opportunities. Additionally, the club incubates promising ideas and empowers youth to take the initiative in shaping a promising future. 

Objectives: 
  • Promote a culture of creativity and entrepreneurship. 
  • Encourage students to develop and implement valuable, sustainable innovations. 
  • Identify and develop student talents. 
  • Spread innovation culture beyond campus. 
  • Equip students with skills to make effective decisions and solve problems innovatively. 
  • Contribute to achieving a strategic goal for every creative thinker by encouraging self-employment. 
  • Strengthen teamwork among multidisciplinary groups with complementary skills.

The Recycling and Handicrafts club is focused on developing students’ skills and enhancing their awareness of the importance of artistic endeavors, with an emphasis on aesthetics and creativity. The club utilizes materials such as plastic, cardboard, and paper, which are among the most commonly consumed, to transform them into valuable artistic creations through recycling. 

Objectives: 
  • Train students in a variety of artistic techniques. 
  • Foster creativity through recycling initiatives that convert waste into innovative works of art. 
  • Organize events and activities to showcase students’ artistic talents. 
  • Host art exhibitions featuring various forms, such as fine arts, beadwork, paper crafts, gift-wrapping design, dried-flower art, and even culinary arts. 
  • Stage exhibitions dedicated to repurposed materials, including designing children’s toys and educational aids. 
  • Organize handicraft exhibitions for students with special needs. 
  • Offer training workshops in different arts, such as perfume making and leatherwork.

A student-led club that aims to offer a variety of academic, technical, cultural, and social programs through both in-class and extracurricular activities for students interested in engineering. The club’s mission is to cultivate well-rounded engineering professionals who possess both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. 

Objectives: 
  • Harness and optimize students’ talents and abilities so they become active contributors to the advancement of society. 
  • Develop students’ soft skills necessary to build a dynamic engineering community. 
  • Provide specialized information relevant to market needs, beyond the standard curriculum. 
  • Foster excellence and innovation, producing highly skilled students distinguished by knowledge and expertise. 
  • Emphasize national economic priorities, especially in the field of energy, particularly renewable energy, to raise awareness and educate the wider community. 
  • Offer theoretical and practical guidance on engineering methods to promote resource conservation in society. 
  • Strengthen the concept of technical education among engineering majors.

The Qur’an and Prophetic Biography Club is dedicated to helping students memorize the Holy Qur’an, learn proper recitation, simplify its meanings for different levels of understanding (including non-specialists), and spread its teachings. The club aims to make the Qur’an a way of life for university students, serving as a guiding light on campus and beyond. It also focuses on reviving Qur’anic studies and encouraging ethical conduct that refines character and deters negative behaviors. 

Objectives: 
  • Teach the rules of Tajweed (Qur’anic recitation). 
  • Promote Qur’an memorization. 
  • Provide guidance on systematic textual study and referencing. 
  • Participate in Qur’an recitation and memorization competitions. 
  • Take part in college celebrations of religious occasions. 
  • Encourage positive extracurricular engagement and discourage violence. ​
